People with Complex PTSD often feel shame about who they are based off of internalized beliefs of shame.
Complex PTSD involves internalized shame from childhood. Left unaddressed, the child grows into an adult that truly believes their identity involves an aspect of shame, such as I am unloveable, I am a burden, or I am always going to be misunderstood.
